Dark Roast

Had coffee this morning. It was dark roast and I didn't have enough milk to make it a latte so I just added more brown sugar to combat the bitterness of the coffee because, honestly, I don't even like the taste of coffee (probably why I've never had the addiction factor to it) and then I got really wired and wanted to Get Shit Done but it's very distracting to be that wired and I generally end up doing nothing at all because being wired just makes me sit down and daydream.

I really feel I would be one of those people who would fail anyway despite staying up all night the night before on speed cramming for an exam.

I have no idea where these thoughts come from.

Care

Sometimes I worry that this is what Vancouver will slowly turn me into.  

I don't understand the reasoning behind people acting this way and I certainly don't understand why it is that Vancouver should have so many of these kinds of people around, maybe more so than other places? Is it the weather? The lack of snow? The cross section of people who decide to move here? The gap between those who have and those who have not? I didn't think it was so different a place than anywhere else but then again I don't really look too closely into those sorts of things because they never used to have that much of an effect on my life. 

I don't know when that changed and maybe that's what scares me more.
